It is an honor and privilege to serve as your State Representative for District 7: Kailua-Kona, North Kona, and South Kohala. Together we have achieved some remarkable victories in recent years and I will continue to work hard to face Hawaii's many challenges and to build a better future for our next generation.
As your voice at the State Capitol, I have supported our schools, farmers and have fought for more funding for affordable housing and healthcare in West Hawaii. As the Chair of the Committee on Energy and Environment, I have helped to lead the state and nation in bold energy, climate and environmental policy. We have worked together to protect natural resources, and passed bills for government transparency and campaign finance reform. I have worked on reducing state debt, and bringing our fair share of funding home to Hawaii Island with projects like Palamanui Community College, the Kona Courthouse, and a Federal Inspections Station for Kona Airport, and much more.
